On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, NOFOTA will host a seminar focused on the NOFOTA Trading Rules.
The programme features expert speakers, complemented by practical case studies. Attendees will gain valuable insights into key aspects of contracting and trading:
- Arnold Hoek (Amica) will highlight the structure of the NOFOTA Trading Rules and the do’s and don’ts of contracting.
- Matthijs Lautenslager (Agrioil) will explain the execution of the contract, with a distinction between paper trading and physical delivery.
- Frank Salome / Steven Oude Alink (Van Traa Advocaten) will elaborate on trading practices within the commodity market.
- Dorine ten Brink / Merel van Bunge (Ploum, Rotterdam Law Firm) will teach on Dutch arbitration law and in particularly the NOFOTA Arbitration Rules.
The lectures will be interspersed with small group case studies to enhance practical understanding.
This seminar is especially relevant for professionals directly or indirectly involved in the oils and fats trade and industry, including those in commercial, supply chain, and execution/logistics roles.
